Twilight Filigree Pendant

Description

The Piece

A smoky quartz teardrop in gold filigree worked the old way — coiled wire, not casting. Under a loupe the gold reads as lace; across a dinner table it reads as an heirloom. The stone holds the colour of the hour just after sunset.

Craft

An edition of five, each stone cut from the same Brazilian seam so the set shares one tone. The filigree comes from one of the few workshops still teaching the technique to apprentices.

Placement

Worn on a 50 cm chain, included. Keep it in its box when travelling; filigree is strong in use but dislikes being crushed in a wash bag.
