The Piece
A seal cut from a single block of deep green jade, crowned with a recumbent mythical beast whose spine follows the natural cloud in the stone. The base is left blank: commission your mark, or leave it as it is. Most owners leave it.
Craft
One of one. The carving took most of a season. The stone is certified and the certificate ships in the archive box. Photographs genuinely undersell this piece — the carving reads differently as the light moves.
Placement
A study or library shelf at eye height. If you ever commission the base, any competent seal carver can cut it; we can also arrange it.
