Description

The Piece

A yin-yang disc made from two actual stones: white nephrite jade and black obsidian, cut to fit and set in a thin champagne-gold bezel. The join is tight enough that most people assume it is painted until they hold it. Hangs on a 45 cm chain.

Craft

The jade is certified nephrite; the obsidian is natural volcanic glass. Halves are matched by hand so the two stones carry the same visual weight, then set by one goldsmith from start to finish.

Placement

This one is worn, not placed. It sits at the sternum on the standard chain; care notes and the certificate are in the box.
